Sarah Dufresne is a Canadian coloratura soprano known for her crystal clear sound, rapid coloratura and diversity of repertoire.

She recently sang in the Talent 2019 Gala, the finals for the Atelier Lyriques at Opéra de Montréal and was awarded the Stingray Rising Star Audience choice award. Beginning in August 2020, Sarah will become an artist in residence at the Atelier Lyriques at Opéra de Montréal. 


Recently Sarah was seen as Rebecca Marshall in 'No One's Safe' as part of the Opera in the 21st Century residency at the Banff Centre in partnership with Against the Grain Theatre and the Canadian Opera Company.


Sarah was a 2019 Encouragement Award winner at the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions (Buffalo/Toronto). She was also awarded the prestigious Jacqueline Desmarais Grant for Young Canadian Opera Singers. 


Her favourite roles include The Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte) Miss Wordsworth (Albert Herring) and Tytania (Midsummer Night's Dream).
