Sarah Dufresne is a Canadian soprano known for her crystal clear sound, rapid coloratura and diversity of repertoire.
She is currently an artist in residence with the Atelier Lyriques at l'Opéra de Montréal. At the Atelier Lyriques Gala in 2019 she was awarded the Stingray Rising Star Audience choice award.
Recently Sarah was seen as Rebecca Marshall in 'No One's Safe' as part of the Opera in the 21st Century residency at the Banff Centre in partnership with Against the Grain Theatre and the Canadian Opera Company.
Sarah was a 2019 Encouragement Award winner at the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions (Buffalo/Toronto). She was also awarded the prestigious Jacqueline Desmarais Grant for Young Canadian Opera Singers.
Her favourite roles include Mrs. Fiorentino (Street Scene) Miss Wordsworth (Albert Herring) and Tytania (Midsummer Night's Dream).
